For the ancient Celtic people of the Sequani, the beech tree bridged three realms: the underworld through its roots, the earth via its trunk, and the sky with its reaching branches. Venturing to Jura Mountains, the homeland of the Sequani, within the Risoux Forest, I aimed to capture the connection between the beech and the sky. The dark trunks and branches mesmerize the eye as they reach towards the heavens.
