Goethe's Fascination for Granite

Granite aroused deep contemplation in the soul of Romantic poet Goethe, who considered this rock to be the heart of the earth (Über den Granit, 1784). Inspired by his fascination, I journeyed to Brittany's Pink Granite Coast. There, I selected awe-inspiring rock formations and framed them in their natural surroundings. The distinctive red color of Ploumanac'h granite is highlighted by the complementary hues of blue and green in the environment. Within this composition, these granite formations assume the status of monuments to nature's grandeur and splendor. These photographs impart a stately dimension to an interior décor, while their chromatic richness serves as a vibrant reminder of the room's colors.
