Spring Bursts of Life

In Japanese art, the changing seasons are deeply significant, with each phase (early, middle, and late) carrying unique qualities and emotions. Every spring, I return to a specific spot in the Jura Mountains to witness the beech trees budding. Among the last to bloom, they signal the true arrival of spring : In Japanese tradition, this moment represents renewal and growth. The delicate beech leaves against the shifting sky embody optimism and vitality, promising a radiant season ahead! The radiant rendition of chromogenic film photography, especially in large prints, infuses a space with the uplifting energy of these majestic trees.
