The Thousand Year Oak I

The painters of the French Barbizon School (pioneers of Impressionism in the early 19th century) portrayed trees with the same depth of character as humans, emphasizing their unique personalities. Drawing inspiration from this approach, I captured the essence of Chêne Éon, a millennial oak tree nestled in the mythical Brocéliande forest, in Brittany. Its venerable stature radiates an aura of tranquility and wisdom, while the intricate patterns of its bark mark the distinguished presence of this ancient oak. Incorporating a photograph of this serene and wise tree into your interior will imbue your space with a sense of peace and tranquility.
