Waiting for the Night to Fall

There is a hidden haven on the shores of Lake Geneva, a place imbued with energy and hope, where I often find solace. These photographs, taken during a spring sunset, reflect a period when my life felt paused, caught in stillness. As dusk falls, the lake, the mountains, and the season embody transformation, a reminder that change is natural and full of promise. Tomorrow holds the assurance of a fresh start as I watch the sky shifts from evening warmth to the depth of night. Inspired by J.M.W. Turner’s 1841 Lake Luzern series, I explore the interplay of mountain hues and the lake’s reflections, using vivid colors to express time’s passage and the renewal it brings. A large print will infuse any space with the serene, hopeful essence of this spring sunset on Lake Geneva.
