Where the River Meets the Mountain I

Nestled in the French Alps, the Usses River carves its path from the mountains to the Rhône River. Along the way, it shapes gorges and sculptural rock formations known in Savoy as ''tines''. I have chosen a sunny day in early spring, when the light filters through the newly opened leaves, casting a mesmerizing green hue. In this particular atmosphere, this torrent encapsulates all the harmony between water, minerals and vegetation that a mountain river can generate. A large print of this series infuses the space with the tranquility and vitality of what I believe to be one of the Alps’ most beautiful rivers.
